The NHL has named its three stars of the week
Why It Matters
The first star is Colorado Avalanche centre Nathan MacKinnon. MacKinnon had 10 points in three games all of which the Avalanche won. MacKinnon leads the race for the Art Ross Trophy which goes to the player who leads the league in points. The second star is Boston Bruins centre Pavel Zacha. Zacha had seven points in four games as the Panthers earned seven of a potential eight points to pull to with in one point of the Florida Panthers for the lead in the Atlantic Division the Eastern Conference and the League. The third star is Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko. Demko won all three games to keep the Canucks on top of the Western Conference.
