Wembanyama got all 99 first place votes ahead of Oklahoma City Thunder centre Chet Holmgren, and Charlotte Hornets guard Brandon Miller. Wembanyama is the sixth player to unanimously win the NBA rookie of the year award. Wembanyama is a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year as well.
