The NHL has named its three stars of the week

Why It Matters

The first star is Minnesota Wild winger Kirill Kaprizov. Kaprizov had seven point in four games including overtime winners in consecutive games as the Wild went 3-1-0 and are 10-3-0 since John Hynes became the Head Coach on November 28 which is the best record in that span. The second star is New York Rangers centre Mika Zibanejad. Zibanejad had seven points to get the Rangers to two wins in three games. The third star is Detroit Red Wings winger Patrick Kane. Kane who signed with the Red Wings on November 28 after having offseason foot surgery had eight point in four games for the Red Wings.
