Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy is out against Canada in the final game of the four nations

Why It Matters

McAvoy is being replaced with Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes. Hughes has joined the roster and arrived in Boston and will only be allowed to dress for Team USA if they fall below six healthy defensemen. McAvoy was admitted to hospital where he underwent testing related to an upper body injury. McAvoy has 23 points n50 games for the Bruins this season.
