Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold has no structural damage to his knee

Why It Matters

Tests showed Darnold to have a bruise on his knee but no structural damage. Darnold has thrown an NFL leading eight touchdown passes in the Vikings 3-0 start. Darnold suffered the injury in the third quarter of the Vikings win over the Houston Texans. Darnold went into the medical tent and backup quarterback Nick Mullens stepped in for one play before Darnold returned to the field.
