The Columbus Blue Jackets have hired Dean Evason as their Head Coach
Why It Matters
Evason replaces the fired Pascal Vincent as Head Coach of the Blue Jackets. Evason had been fired as the Head Coach of the Minnesota Wild back in November. Evason went 147-77-27 during his time in Minnesota as Head Coach. General Manager Don Waddell had fired Vincent very shortly after leaving the Carolina Hurricanes to take the job in Columbus and after a long wait has hired Evason as the next Head Coach.
