Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley will miss six to eight weeks with a broken hand
Why It Matters
The injury will end Riley’s season. An MRI confirmed the fracture. The six to eight week timeline takes Riley out for the rest of the regular season and into the playoffs if the Braves were to make it that far. The Braves hold the final Wild Card spot in the NL over the New York Mets entering a three game series against the NL East leading Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves have already lost NL MVP Ronald Acuna and Ace Pitcher Spencer Strider to season ending injuries.
