MacKinnon reach 1,000 career NHL points with two assists against the Chicago Blackhawks at Ball Arena in Denver. MacKinnon got to 1,000 career NHL points 31 seconds into the second period with an assist on Artturi Lekhonen’s goal. MacKinnon is the third player in the history of the Colorado Avalanche nee Quebec Nordiques to have 1,000 career points after Joe Sakic and Peter Stastny.
