Defensive End Jerry Hughes has returned to the Houston Texans for his 15th NFL Season

Why It Matters

Hughes will be in his third season with the Texans. Hughes played in all 17 games in each of the last two seasons and started 16 of them in 2022. Hughes had just three sacks last season after finishing with nine in 2022. Hughes has 70 sacks in his career with includes nine seasons with the Buffalo Bills and two with the Indianapolis Colts. Hughes was drafted 31st overall by the Colts in 2010 and has 479 career tackles 96 of which were for a loss, 19 forced fumbles and two interceptions to go with his 70 career sacks.
