The New York Rangers have signed defenseman Braden Schneider to a two year contract extension

Why It Matters

Schneider was a restricted free agent with 19 points in 82 games in the regular season and two assists in 16 games in the playoffs. The Rangers as a team won the President’s Trophy for having the most points in the regular season and lost to the eventual Stanley Cup champions the Florida Panthers in the Conference Finals. Schneider was drafted 19th overall by the Rangers in 2020 and has 48 points in 206 games during the regular season and six points in 43 games during the playoffs.
