Why It Matters

Ohtani is in the lineup as the leadoff hitter and designated hitter. Two days after Ohtani suffered a subluxation of his left shoulder in game two, Ohtani passed every test and imaging showed no structural damage according to Manager Dave Roberts. It had been unclear whether Ohtani would be able to play in game three. Ohtani’s shoulder needed to be popped back into place before he underwent testing but the tests didn’t show anything further.
